Areas of Research
We accept unsolicited requests from interested researchers for funding and/or products to support independent research activities. Our support of projects can include direct funding to cover all or a portion of study-related costs and product. Ethicon appreciates your interest in advancing scientific knowledge and methodologies concerning our products, related procedures and disease states. These types of proposals are reviewed from a scientific, business, regulatory and healthcare compliance perspective by the IIS Review Committee, which takes approximately 90 days from the submission date. The Committee is a cross functional group led by Medical and Clinical Research Scientists which meets monthly.

Our Credo-based values are considered in the design and conduct of the study

The principles of good clinical and/or laboratory practice, including medical and ethical concerns, are applied

Product information is relevant, accurate, fair and balanced

Cross-cultural differences are taken into account

Proposals are aligned to current areas of interest to the company. Clarification of study aspects may be requested during the review process.

Proposals that include a diverse patient population regarding race, ethnicity, age, and sex are highly encouraged.
